Like any dialtone or utility service, the SIMtone delivers its value only if consumers are unaware of its presence. We don't worry about electricity, and what plug to use with what appliance, nor do we worry about telephones being compatible with anything, or water flowing out of any faucet. So it is with the SIMtone. We need not worry about it, it is already there, and available via corporate LANs, cable and DSL modems, WiFi Hotspots and 3G services.

It is provisioned by SIMtone Corporation and soon, by other SIMtone Operators.

SIMtone offers two services. First is the SIMtone VDU, that enables businesses to transform their PCs, Remote Access, and Business Continuity infrastructure very inexpensively and securely into SIMtone Virtual Services - usable and securely accessible by their employees anywhere. The second service is the SIMtone CDU, currently in early trial, which offers the first full Virtual Cloud computing experience to consumers. Many companies are developing additional services for their own use or for consumers. All will be pervasively and securely accessible by their users everywhere and on any device, thanks to the "invisible" SIMtone dialtone.
